A realisation
"Why didn't you come that day knowing you were the only one I could be waiting", she sighed and waited for a response from his part. That day was impermissible, the wind was blowing silently and the sky was a lil infuriated as if they all could sense the broken pieces of hers. It was indeed a silent night with thousands of untold words which kept on buzzing into the nerves and everything by her side were whimpering seeing her demolished. She stared at him, with trembling hands and scared soul she somehow framed herself to ask "I hope we are still the same, aren't we?" That 10 seconds were feeling like a decade to walk onto, still she stabilized herself, continued gazing at him with head strolling high and hopes lowering dot by dot with every blink of hers. "I think, no! Can't you see, neither you are the same, nor I am" he stated, quite fiercely with eyes rolling and back stretching to get up and leave, forever. Not that forever, which she meant at the time they held hands, rather it was that forever, which he referred at the time of letting him on his lap under the cozy blanket. She did get broken, yet it was beautiful as the soul was free to love itself more hard than it ever did. Today, with a handful of groundnuts on her hand, whenever she glances upon the days when she was lost somewhere, into someone , she just smiles and hugs herself for being so omnipresent for that "one" which she now replaced with "herself". Just the only difference was, that night the wind wasn't just blowing, it was instrumenting it's every particle in the air, the rain drops were hopping on the floor and back and even the clouds were too dense to grin and then she realised that she is never alone, may be there won't be anyone to wipe her tears but there would be that rain to sob all night with her, there would be these winds to blow hard to caress her hairs, these roads to roll over until her feet start hurting to step one more. From that day onwards, the nights gifted her dreams instead of nightmares.
